A THOUSAND ARRESTS, (Received August 1-1, 9.31 p.m.) ST. I'ETKRSIiI'RG. August 14. One thousand revolutionists were arrested at Warsaw last Friday and Saturday. AX EXILED MAYOR. ST. PETFRSBI'RG, August 14. Professor Yaro.-chenko, Mayor of Odessa, was exiled for participating i n the recent Zemstvos’ Congress at Odessa, as representative of the Odessa municipality. The professor has resigned his position owing to the sentence of banishment. The strikes at Roga have ended. COSSACKS AXITsaCIALISTS. ST. PETERSBURG, August 13. A force of Cossacks dispersed a mass meeting of two thousand Socialists in a wood near Pabianicc (in Russian Poland). Finding they wore .surrounded, the Socialists used their revolvers. The Cossacks replied, killing and wounding twenty persons and arresting four hundred and fifty-c'ght.

BOYS EXECUTED. (Received August 14. 11.10 p.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, August 14. Two boys at Odessa, aged fifteen and thirteen years, were publicly executed lor firing from their father's house on troops. BOMB THROWING. SEVERAL PERSONS KILLED. ST. PETE RSBUR G. August 14. A bomb thrown in a street at Bylostock killed several persons. MUTINEERS PUNISHED. LENIENT SENTENCES. (Received August 14, 11.11 p.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, August 14. Lenient sentences have been passed on tiic mutineers belonging to the transport Prout. Fifteen wore acquitted.

Tho crew of the Front. mutinied early last month. . They killed the second lieutenant and tho boatswain, and arrested the captain and oflicers. Their insurrection, however, was short-lived, for they reached Sebastopol in a repentant mood, and invited the officers to resume command.
