PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, August U.' The Arbitration Court was engaged today in herring a dispute between the Cartel's’ Union and employers. Both sides put forward amendments to the present award, but that of the employers was in the meantime rejected as proof was not forthcoming that the necessary preliminaries r had been carried out. CHRISTCHURCH. August 14. The collection box in St. Atatthcw’s Church, St. Albans, was broken open yesterday, and the contents stolon. This is the second occasion on which the box has been rifled. WESTPORT. August 14. The output from the Westport Coal Company’s mines last week was 6751 tons and from the Seddonville State mine 652 tons. A fair number of orders for the latter mine are to hand, nearly all for screened coal. The management would prefer keener demand for what is termed "special class/’ containing about 30 per cent, small coal. This, it is alleged, could be retailed at ship’s side. Wellington, at 19s per ton. There lias been good local demand for the Westport-Stockton Coal Company shares at between 90s and 100 s. NAPIER, August 14.

E. Tacon, licensee of the Eetane IXolel, was fined nnd costs for supplying liquor loan intoxicated perron, The conviction is to be endorsed on the license.
