AUCKLAND HOSPITAL.

PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. August 14. At a meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board held this afternoon reference was made to a question asked by Mr Baume in the House of Representatives as to the number of deaths in Auckland Hospital from June, 1904. to June, 1905, and whether any, and if so how many, of tho deaths wore due to defective drainage. A report was road from the secretary of the medical staff stating that the deaths in the hospital during the specified time were 162, and that non© of these were due to the defective drainage of the institution. It was decided that the reply be sent to the Inspector of Hospitals. Mr Davis took exception to the question asked by Mr Baume.
