NEWMAN FRANCIS HENDRICKS, the Superintendent of the Insurance Department of tho State of New York, who has this year made a special examination of the Balance-sheet and Securities of the Society, reports (May 8th):—‘ I am at this date sufficiently well informed as to its condition to unhesitatingly slate that it is financially sound, and that all its contracts to Policyholders are fully and safely guaranteed." H C FRICK, Chairman of Committee specially appointed to examine tin, Investments of the Society, reports Tho Society’s condition of perfect bol-v-nev as shown in its Annual Report, is in no way impaired. The Assets of the Society are in its possession— l they are absolutely sound, and thn integrity of every one of the Society’s contracts is absolutely unimpaired.’’ The New Zealand Directors invito Policyholders and Assurers who donre further information to communicate at once with the Hoad Office of the Society in Wellington, when satisfactory evidence of the strength of the Society will bo immediately furnifllied.
