ANDERSON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY. ‘‘Through the Divorce ’ Court;’ was repeated i : or the last time by the William Anderson company at the Opdra House last evening to a numerous, audience. The characters -were ably represicn tod. ' “DEATH OR GLORY BOYS.” This evening Mr Anderson will present tor tiie first time in Wellington .a spectacular military play, “Death or Glory Boys.” Speaking of its recent production in Auckland (where it ran for seven nights to crowded audiences) tho “New Zealand Herald” said;—The new piece, “Death or Glory Boys, - ’ won unmistakable favour from a largo audience. The stirring military flavour of the drama, cleverly coloured into tho picture by tho introduction of the striking uniform of the 17th. Lancers (a regiment whose motto is utilised for tho play’s title), and a company of its wearers, afoot and on horseback, added very apparent zest to the enjoyment of those in front. The interest of tho plot was sustained in many novel and nob a few sensational situations, all of which evoked hearty applause. DIX’S GAIETY COMPANY, A crowded audience last night witnessed tho excellent bill now being provided at the Theatre Royal. ■ The Gaiety Six, -with the Bicknells, again scored a decided hit in their really clever and artistic ballet, and had to re-appear. Messrs Carden Wilson and Frank Hawthorne, in their clever imitations, brought forth, frequent applause, Mr Wilson as “Van. Biene” being, perhaps, the most successful item. Dante, with his legerdemain, Mr Tod Callaway, and the rest of a strong company, were well received. Tho last two nights of Miss E'iloen Boyd are an-/ nounced. HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. 1 Tho Messrs Fuller are lavish in their entertainment-giving and the numerical strength of their companies. The present company includes the talented IMamond Duo, Miss Peary Akarman, Miss Annie Tye, Hugh Huxham, the Rextons, Milo, Ward Lear, Flo Weston, Will Sylvain, and the coloured nnn, Alf Fielding. ELITE SKATING RINK. The Elite Skating Rink in Xngestre street is providing amusement, recreation, and exercise for large numbers of persons during tho present wintry weather. For the convenience of beginners the rink is open ©very morning and afternoon, and a staff of attendants is available to give advice and assistance. In the evenings the proceedings are enlivened by a full brass band. The Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded last night, when the Missioner, Mr Moore, gave a first-aid lecture, which was followed with close attention. .An excellent musical programme was arranged by the Misses Hugo. Items were contributed by the Misses Huge/ (2). Kerr, Mrs Veale, and Mr Kerr. The Wellington Choral Society will produce “The Crusaders” in-the Town Hall on the evening of June 13th. The box plan will open at tho Dresden rooms next Monday. The programme is published in another column for tho concert to be given in St. Peter’s Hall to-morrow by the members of St. Peter’s Club and their friends. The items are well selected and varied. St. Mary’s Convent Ex-pupils’ Association will hold the annual dance tomorrow evening. ’Buses will leave the hall for Te Aro and Newtown after the dance. Tho latest musical comedy to bo staged in Sydney by Mr George Stephenson’s Company is entitled “Bill Adams, tho Hero of Waterloo.” It is scarcely necessary to add that Mr Edward Lauri frolics through tho piece as the valorous myth, Bill Adams.
