THE RUSSO-JAPANESE WAR
RUSSIAN attack: repulsed. LONDON, April 6. The Russians on Tuesday, assuming the aggressive, first bombarded Ghinchentuu. A largo force supported by two flanking columns then simultaneously advanced within 400 metres (practically yards) of the Japanese positions. The attack was completely repulsed after a sharp conflict. The Japanese casualties numbered twenty-seven, and the Russian losses were two hundred.
