Reference was made to the large number of ties in open handicap matches, and the committee pointed out that in view of the fact tiiat prominent Bhootists now declining to take part iu matches for a small number of birds with double nominations, the club would do well to consider the udvisableuess of altering the programme to from 34 to 20 birds, the matches to be shot straight ooit. Mr T. M. Wilford (Wellington) was elected president for the ensuing year. Tiie following were elected vice-presi-dents :—Messrs J. IT. Redwood (Marlborough), and G. R. King (Hawke’s Bay); committee, Messrs J. Black (Dunedin), J. W. Cassin (Christchurch), C. H. Chavanuos (Wanganui), W. H. Tisdall lington). Dr Owen (Auckland); secretary, and treasurer, Mr N. von Sturmer. It was resolved that tho championship bo held this year ?t Hawke’s Bay, on June 20th, Rule 4, re tho boundaries, was altered to enable clubs to fix their boundary at any distance under 60yds. A committee was set up to consider the question, of sending a team to Australia.
