PALMERSTON NORTH.
(From Onr Own Correspondent.) Fridav. The Loyal Manawatu Lodge 1.0.0. F., M.U., held their half-yearly summoned meeting last evening, when there was a fair attendance of members. P.P.G.M. Bro. Keif and P.G'/s Brothers Sarman and Gitting installed the newly-elected officers. Two new members were proposed. At the railway station there is the usual holiday excitement. At express time the platform is crowded, and throughout the day picnicking groups are in evidence with many baskets and packages.
