IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (Limited), by "The Railways Construction and Land Act. 1881/' and of all other powers and authorities in any wiso enabling it in that behalf, the said Company doth by this Instrument under its Common Seal, make and ordain the following By-law for further regulating tho carriage of dangerous goods upon tho Railway of the Company—that is to say: No person shall send, or attempt to send, or cause to bo sent by the Railway of tho Company, or deposit, or cause to be deposited on or in \ any land or premises of or appertaining to tho said Railway, or deliver to Uny of the Company's servants for carriage on tho railway any bos, cylinder, or package containing any of the poods, materials, or gases described in the schedule hereto, which goods, materials or gases aro in all cases deemed to bo dangerous goods within the meaning of tho said Company's Bylaws; without- distinctly marking the contents on the outside of such box. cylinder, or package, and giving notice in writing of the*contents to the Stntionmaster or Officer in Charge of tho Station at which such box, cylinder or package is loft or deposited; and any person who shall do any act, matter, or thing which under the provision* of this By-law is directed not to be done, shall be deemed guilty of '» breach of such By-law and shaß be liable for and in respect of such broach to a penalty not exceeding ,£l9. In witness whereof tho Seal of the Company has been hereunto affixed by order of the said Company on the 23rd day of May, 1904.
