Debentures payable on Ist April and Ist May, 1904, that they are prepared to renew such Debentures for n further period—namely, to the Ist May, 1909—at the same rate of four per centum per annum convertible at the option of the holder, at any time within two years after the date of issue, into 3-per-cent. Inscribed Stock at the rate of •*£lo3 of Stock for every c£loo Debenture. Holders desiring to renew are required to lodge their debentures at least one month before the duo date with the Sydney or Melbourne branch of the Bank of New Zealand; or at tho Treasury at WeU lington, and fresh Debentures, having the currency extended as above, will bo issued to replace those falling due cm the dates mentioned. A commission of ton shillings per cent, will be paid to Licensed Brokers upon the amount of Debentures they forward to tho Bank of Now Zealand for renewal. "JVTOTICE is hereby given that at a spoi. i cial Meeting ,of the Hutt County Council hold on the 17th day of February, instant, a resolution was passed making -a special order making by-laws in relation to heavy traffic, and for tho licensing of Traction Engines and Waggons'used for heavy traffic, and for regulating the times when, and the conditions on which, traction engines may be allowed to pass along roads within the County. Copies of tho proposed by-laws are deposited at the Office of the Council in Lambtou quay, in the City of Wellington, whore the same are open for inspection of the public during office hours. AND NOTICE is hereby given that a Meeting of the Hutt County Council will be held on Wednesday, the 23rd day of March, 1901, at 1.30 o'clock n.in., for the purpose of confirming the said resolution and adopting such by-laws.
