CITY POLICE COURT.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12. (Before Dr A. (McArthur, S.M.) Philip O’Brien was fined 10s, or three days’ imprisonment for drunkenness. James D. Harris was ordered to ho returned to Now South Wales on a charge of obtaining the sum of £370 from Annie Smith, at Newcastle, New South Wales, in December, 1903, by moans of false pretences. Joseph Donnelly, charged on two' counts with being an idlo and disorderly person, was further remanded until the 15th iuet. ■Goorgo Peters, charged with perjury in connection with the bankruptcy of Peter Stephen, was also further remanded until the 19th inst. Jam os O’Doa, a prohibited person, was fined 40s, with an alternative of fourteen days’ gaol, for procuring liquor from the licensee of the Caledonian Hotel. An information against Harry Walters, charging him with supplying James O’Doa with liquor, was withdrawn on tho application of Chief-Detective McGrath, who explained that the man was already in gaol for stealing load from tho Corporation yards.
