The first and second oleek competitions were played at Miramar on Saturday. The first-class was won by W. Read, handicap 10, 5 up. The sccondjwas won by C, C. Higginson, handicap 18, 9 up. Following are the best scores handed in: .First—W. Reid (10), 5 up; F. H. Latham (scr), 4 up; J. H. Owen (13), 3 up; A. .T. Abbott (owes 2). 2 up; E. T. Gould (8), 3 up; it. Rosa (6), 1 up; Dr Gow (6), 1 up; J. Coom (8). 1 up. Second—C. C. Higginson. (18), 9 up; it. IvobbeM (18), 2 up; R. Carter (12) all square; E. C. Finch. (12), all square; IV. Uaudysido (18), all square.
