Tho 200th performance of "The Admirable Crichton” was witnessed at the Duke of York’s Theatre, London, on Friday, the Ist May. To celebrate the ooca. sion Mr Charles Frohman presented every member of the audience with a souvenir of a particularly beautiful and novel character. The front cover represents rushes woven together such as were found upon tho island which formed an asylum to Ohiohton and' his companions. On the back was a holograph copy of the celebrated letter written by the castaways, and confided to the mercy of the waves in a soda-water bottle. Overleaf figured an extract from the poem written by Mr W. E. Henley, to which reference is made in the play. A comprehensive map ,of the island wa s also provided, showing the various points of interest. The album further contained coloured sketches of the principal artistes in costume.
