Issued by the DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD, pursuant to “Tho Dunedin’ District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900,” and “Tne Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900, Amendment Act, 1902.” Tho Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board invites TENDERS tor the PURCHASE of EIGHT HUNDRED (8001 DEBENTURES of £SO each, being the First Issue of a Loan or Loans of T 200.000 authorised by the said Acts. The Debentures np to tho aforesaid amount of .£200(000 issued by the Board rank pari passu, and have no preference or priority by reason of the date of issue or otherwise. The Debentures ilfcl bear interest at the rate of per centum per annum, payable half-yearly. Coupons for future interest are attached to each Debenture, and tho interest for any broken period will be adjusted on the first coupon on issue, so that interest shall run on each sum naid by the purchaser from tho date of payment. The currency will be for 21 years, from tho Ist day of July, 1903, No tender will be received below the par price of the Debenture. Tenders to be addressed to the Secretary, at the Office of the Board, Stock Exchange Buildings, Dunedin, marked “Tender for Loan.” and must be lodged before 5 p.m. on the 9th day of MARCH, 1 1903, and nil tenders shall be deemed ui be made in .terms of this notice. Each tender must be accompanied by a marked obeoiie for 5 per centum nf the amount tendered, and should the tender be withdrawn, or tho sum or sums tendered remain unpaid for seven days after tho time when the same becomes or become playable, the Board may forfeit tho deposit. The sura tendered shall bo Payable to the Board at its Office in four .equal instalments on the Ist day of April, Ist day of July, and tho Ist day of October, 1903, and tbo !?,<■ day of January, 1904 (the deposit to bo treated as part of the hrst instalment), with liberty to'tenderers to pay the whole sum at any time. The Debentures will not. be issued until the whole sum is paid, and in the meantime receipts ■frill be given for the instalments, showing the interest payable to tho purchaser on successive instalments. Tho coupons representing interest already paid in virtue of such receipts or otherwise will be removed before issue of the Debentures. The Security for the said Lo*h is set forth in the above-mentioned Acts, to which the attention o f tenderers is directed.
