BUF.SS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 24. At the Christchurch Cycling' Club’s meeting to-day. there was fine -weather and a large attendance. Great interest was taken in the matches between Martin and Sutherland. The first distance in the match, one mile, was won by Sutherland, who, after a painfully slow race, iuniped at the right moment and left his opponent badly. In the second distance, twenty miles.’ a number of accidents occurred. . and after completing about fifteen miles Martin retired, learinc- Sntherland + o win th“ purse of £s(l and the wager of £25 a side.
