Copper, on the spot, £53 2s 6d per ton ; tliree months, £53 7s 6d. Lead, £ll 11s 3d per ton. Silver, Is 93d per ounce. STOCK SALES. DUNEDIN, January 22. At Burnsido market yesterday, there wore modest yardings of sheep and cattle. Lambs were in full supply, and pigs in short supply. Fat Cattle.—About 150 head yarded. Best bullocks, £9 10s to £11; good, £8 to £9 ss; best cows and heifers, £B, to £9; good, £6 to £7 10s. Beef averaged 30s per cwt. Fat sheep.—Over 1500 penned. Best wethers, 17s 6d to IDs: good, 15s 6d to 17s; best ewes. 16s to 18s 6d ; a few up to 20s: prood. 13s 6d to 15s 6d. Lambs.—About 750 penned. Best 11s Od to 13s 3d; good, 9s 6d to 11s; others, 7s Od. • Pigs numbered 62. Prices—Suckers 16s to 21s: stores, up to 30s; porkers, 36s to 425: haooners, 50s to 665; heavy ings, up to 80s.
