CAPTURE OF ARMS FOR THE MULLAH. SEIZURE OF A DHOW. LONDON, January 21. A patrol dhow in charge of Lieutenant Levan, manned by six bluejackets, with a three-pounder, have made a valuable capture on tho Somali coast. Those on board feigned distress, and sent a Somali native to the masthead. The signal lured an Arab dhow within range. A thrilling fight ensued. The dhow was captured, and was found to ho in possession of French papers from Jibutil, in French Somaliland. She also had on board eighty French rifles, ten thousand rounds cf ammunition, and seven thousand revolver cartridges, intended to bo sent to tho Mullah by a’circuitous route. These wero confiscated, and the dhow was sunk.
Lieutenaut-Colonol Cobbe, with 450 men of tho African Rifles, and 50 Sikhs, is starting from Obbia, in Italftm Somaliland, for a fortnight's reconnaissance towards the Galkayru Wells, the Mullah’s headquarters. Colonel Cobbs has been awarded tho Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery at Ercgo, when tho Mullah recently surprised tho British column under Colonel Swaync.
