LONDON, January 20. Xho Marconi system will be utilised as far as possible to fill the gaps in the Capo to Cairo telegraph lines. Tho “Daily Mail,” referring to the Marconi station at Welifleet, in Massachusetts, transmitting a message from President Roosevelt to King Edward, says it shows the advantages and tho wonderful triumph of science. Tho message read; —“I extend on behalf of tho American people most cordial greetings and good wishes to you and to all the people in your Empire.'’ (Received January 21, 9.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 20.
King Edward has sent a Marconigram to President Roosevelt rociprorating his message, and wishing America every possible prosperity.
