Don Walker won tho one and fivo-milo events of tho Commonwealth Stakes, Morgan winning the two and AValno tho throo-mile events. Don .Walker was disqualified for a month for suspicious riding in tho threemile event. This puts him out of court for tho Austral Wheel Race, for which ho was favourite. [Tho news of Walker’s suspension will bo received .with surprise by all followers of tho sport. His phenomenal riding this season has plficed him an easy first favourite for tho Austral Wheel Race. Since 17th October, ho has won every scratch race he has started in, with tho exception of a ten-mile event recently run in Sydney, when ho retired three miles from homo.
