It is said that Mr Charles Carter intends leaving the Pollard Company about Christmas nest, and will proceed Home to study for a few years under the best masters. Hs is afflicted with no inflated ideas'of his own powers and capabilities, hut is anxious to improve himself m his professional capacity so far as m him lies, and considers that a lew years devoted to severe study in Loudon and Pans should prove valuable* This is unquostionnbly the case. Mr Carter is young, 1 and has plenty of time before him. lie Ims certainly a nice voice, and a good stage presence, and nets well, and at Horae hard wor and observation should result in good fortune.- His New Zealand friends I will certainly wish him all success.
