Hickrfry spokes were made free. Discussing Mr Manifold’s proposal to admit all New Zealand undressed pine free, it was urged that it would only come into competition with timber used in the manufacture of butter boxes, and that there was not sufficient of such timber produced in Queensland to meet requirements.
