STORMS IN BRITAIN.
(Received November 13, 11 p.m.) LONDON, November 13. A great gale liras swept over tho greater part of the United Kingdom. There was a phenomenal rainfall in Ireland, Scotland and the north of Eng l lull'dWhole districts have boon inundated, especially in Yorkshire and Ulster, where rail way traffic was dislocated. Water oveiHowcd into some of the trains and extinguished the engine fires. Numerous wrecks have been chronicled, and ton lives have been lose. Tho Coastguard at South Foreland descended bho cliffs, 309 feet, in tho teeth of tho gale with a rope, ladder to assist the crew of a vessel who were in danger.
