Poole, licensee of the Kiraboiton Hotel, was fined £0 Is and costs £zo ss, for kcepiii'- his premises open after hours. Mr T. Wilford, who appeared. for the defendant, was granted' leave to appeal. A charge of selling liquor after hours was dismissed, and one of refusing to admit the police was withdrawn. ~ , ■Major Moore. late of tho Fourth and Twentieth Hussars, died yesterday at Kiwitoa, whore ho had successfully car. vied on farming. He was much respected in tho district. The deceased gor. tlcmau leaves a wife and family.
