The* Victoria Oollegsl'Council at its meeting last night received and unani. mously adopted the following report of its Site Committee:— , ~ . “The committee have to report that they have obtained from the Wellington City Council the. offer of two alternative sites on certain condition*. One site - is a piece of land on Salamanca road con. taining five acres 3 roods 17 perches, the conditions attached to. which are: Uj That land of equal value within the city be vested in the. The committee have carefully inspected the two sites and have considered their rfe soective merits, and' the conditions at. tached to them, and unanimously recoin, mend that the Council should accept that on Salamanca road.” The' report was brought down hr Mr , J. K. Blair, and was carried without dis. enssion. i The committee was directed to continue in existence, and proceed to carry out its own recommendations.
