"Membera of the Hutt Golf Club have played oft' the final match for the at. Andrew’s Cross. Mr Georg© Pearce. by adding a further three points to his credit, won the cross and trophy for the season. On Saturday last mixed foursomes composed of members of the Hutt Golf Cldb and Hutt Ladies’ Golf Club played against a bogey score for prises presented by Mr and Mrs Brodriok. Players were limited to one club—an iron one. The cards returned ranged from 2 holes up to 14 down, the three best scores being:—Mrs George Pearce and D. B. Howdea (handicap 5), 2 upj Mrs Climie and J. H. Barnett (handicap 12), 1 down; Mrs Purdy and H. Fitzherbert (handicap 8), 1 down.. Next Saturday the members' of the Hutt Golf Club will nlay for the club’s gold medal. For this event last year William Pryde and Arthur Duncan tied, and the tie will be decided by these player*’ respective scores on Saturday, The Auckland Golf Club has, through Mr T. Brassey. who is now in London, secured the services of a high-class pro. fessional, who will leave London for Anckland at the end of this month.. This should be a great boon to golfers. During the Carnival week in Christ, church the local club will hold a. inbilee handicap open to all "comers. Entries must be made through club 1 secretaries. The tournament has concluded.
