TRADESMEN'S CRICKET CLUB. The annual meeting of the ,United Tradesmen's Cricket Club -was held at the Trocadero last night, Mr W. Bnrbulgo iu the chair. The annual report congratulated members on their success last reason, the club having won the Wednesday -competition, with seven wins out of eight matches, the one lose being credited to the Oriental Club, which acted a* runner-up. The financial, position of the club is sound, there being a balance la hand. The most successful bat s mau for the past season was Mr Jones, wh'won the Suratura Tea trophy with the good average of 91 for seven completed innings. The bowling honours fall to T. Taylor, with 39 wickets at a cost of fire rung apiece. The following officers were elected for the coming season;—Presi dent. Mr H. D. Bell (reelected); vicepresidents. Meeera C. P Knapp, W. E. Pearson, F. Townsend, W. E. Woods (all re elebted), and Messrs D. Kenny and W. Newell: secretary, Mr E. Read; treasurer, Mr J. Thawley (reelected); Management Committee. Messrs E. Bead, J. Thawlev, W: Burbidge. E. Kirkland; delegate to v Wednesday Association, Mr E. Read: auditor, Mr W. Bnrbidjre. Several new members were elected, and with a vote ‘*f thanks to retiring officers, the meeting terminated. A practice.will bo held at the Basin Reserve this afternoon.
