NEW ZEALAND RUGBT UNION. A meeting of the Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union was held last night. Present—Messrs G. P. C. Campbell, G. H. Dixon, A. D. Thomson, J. Murray, 1. Hyame and A. M. De Costa (hon secretary). A letter was received from Mr H. J. Godsall, secretary of the 'Queensland Rugby Union, stating that the commit, tee waa in accord with the principle of a combined team visiting New Zealand. Ho was writing to the New South Wales Union on the matter. He understood that there was some idea of a conference between representatives of New Zealand, New South Wales and Queensland Unions, in order to come to a uniform reading of the laws. If such report waa authentic it might be arranged to authorise the representatives to discuss the matter of the visit of an Australian team, and the return visit, and to draw up a scheme for submission to their respective unions.
