ACCIDENTS.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, August 20. A young man named Arthur Claridgo met with ji nasty accident to his hand yesterday through the breaking of a belt in connection with a strawpress. niEss ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, August 20. A man named Arthur West was injured while working, at a saw in the ivauri Timber Company's mill at Teka* pura, and has since died. The company was covered by a general insurance in the Government Accident Insurance Department. CHRISTCHURCH. August 20. Richard Emerson, aged 49, a labourer, died in the hospital this morninv from the effects of a fall down_the dive in the City Hotel on Saturday Tiight. An in* quest is to- he held.
