GOLF.
Mixed foursomes for prizes presented by Dr Boas were played at the Hutt links on Saturday against a “bogey” score averaging six strokes a hole. The winners were Mr H. Fitzherbert and Mrs Brodrick, with 7 holes up. The next best scores were—Mr D. B. Howden and Miss Humfrey, 6 up; Mr W. Pryde and Miss Fitzherhert, 4 up; Mr Watkins and Mrs A. Pearce, 2 up; while the following Competitors halved with “bogey”Dr Boss and Miss Foster, Mr Jack and Miss Haste, Mr George Pearce and Miss Wardell, Mr I. S. Boss and Miss I. Fitzherhert: others were from three to five holes down.
