OTAKI.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) Monday, 4.30 p.m. At the annual hospital ball held at Otaki on Friday there was only a poor attendance, but the affair was most enjoyable. The Otaki Mounted Rifles opened their new rifle-range with a shooting match at Otaihanga on Saturday. The range is . a capital one. The Whereroa (Paraparaumu) Rifle Club has hee n accepted by the Government. Measles are prevalent throughout the whole district, and there is much sickness, though not of a serious character.
