THE MASTERTON MURDER.
Special to the “Times.” MASTERTON, August 6. Sergeant O’Malley, accompanied by Mr King, a surveyor, went to Miki Miki to-dav, and a survey was made of thja locality of the supposed murder of Mrs Susannah Pain; Further details show that when a party was out in search for Mrs Pain with Douglas cue of the party suggested going down a gully where the body was afterwards found. To this Douglas strongly objected, and urged the party should go in an opposite direction. Great interest is manifested here in the case.
