BUSINESS NOTES.
Messrs Pearce, Eavenhill and Go. call attention to a magnificent property of 1300 acres on very easy terms. This will not bo in the market for long. Messrs George Thomas and Co.- will sell at their rooms at one o'clock teulay, five tons of pollard, fifty boxes of Ceylon tea, and sixty cases of pale ale. Mr W. F. Shortt will sell at his rooms to-day, at 2.30 p.m., on account of a gentleman who is leaving Wellington, the whole of his superior furniture, including a piano by Murphy, of London, and a dining room suite in solid leather. Messrs-Sidey and Co. will continue the sale of stock at the Alexandra Plumbing Works, Victoria street, at 11 a.m to-day. They will also commence at their rooms an important sale of winter furs and skin*; from the leading furriers of Australis, and Tasmania. These constitute one of the most varied consignments ever offered here. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company will sell stock at Palmerston North on Thursday, and at Fetiding on Friday. The partnership hitherto existing between John Stafford and George Collins, as felt hat makers, has been dissolved, and the business will in future be carried on by Mr Collins. Messrs Abraham and Williams will sell stock at Palmerston North on Thursday,
