Colonel Viscount Coke, late of the Scots Guards and now commanding the Norfolk Artillery Militia, paid a visit to tho King and Queen at Sandringham before leaving for South Africa on service. It is now officially announced that the King has been pleased to approve of the appointment of Sir William Conyngham Green, K.C.8., to be Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipoten. tiary at Berne.
