LONDON, July 11. In connection with the accession oath, the Roman Catholic Bishops protest against the Sovereign denouncing any special doctrines. In the final tests on the Clyde the yacht Shamrock 11. proved unmistakably faster than Shamrock I. Walsh, at one time a prominent doctor, is dead. He resided in New Zealand for a considerable time. .HALIFAX; July 12. A fishing-boat has sunk off the coast and eighteen persons have been drowned. MELBOURNE, July 12.Schewer, a stoker on the steamer Asia, who shot another stoker named Howe dead, has been found guilty of manslaughter, and sentenced to twelve months* imprisonment with hard labour.
