The volunteer corps in garrison 'and the Gavr: on "Band will turn out on Tuesday to taka part in the reception of the returned "contingent men. ’A meeting of delegates from the several infantry companies was held last night to arrange for the annual battalion tfoot • ball tournament. Lieut.. Colonel “Collins was in the chair. It was decided, if grounds are -obtainable, to play the matches on the 3rd or 10th August, and the semi finals and final on the 24th August, and the representative match, Infantry v. Ordnance, on the 21st September. Messrs Bruce, Redmond, Roache, Tu’loch and Fountain were elected a committee to carry out the necessary arrangements, Mr A. J. Hollow being secretary. Entries for the tournament will close on the 31st July. ■* The acceptance of the services of the Mnstertor} Rifles is gazetted.
