A General Halo for the general purposel; o; the Borough of one shilling and three pence in the pound on tin ’■nnual ratable value on the Valuation Foil of all raC'Jde property within the Borough. 2. Water Kate, as follows: —On all lands and Buildings within the Borough, and in portion:-, of the Boroughs of Melrose and Karuri by tbo Weliing-j ton (.City) Suburbs Water Supply Act, 189:). declared to be subject to the same Water Kates and chaiges as for the time being are levied ami made in the Chty. used as dwellinghouses to which water is supplied : (a) Whore the annual ratable value on the Valuation Jlo'i does not exceed Al2 Ids, a rate of ton saili i n g s, (b) Where such ratable value exceeds ~i';2 10s. a rate of ■!-. per cent, on such value. One-haif of the respective Water K/atcs mentioned- above on alt lands and buildings to which water can bo, but is not, supplied, situate within 100 yards from any part of the Corporation Waterworks. A Kale of 2J per cent, on the ratable value of all buildings within the Borough, and the said portions ot Melrose and ICarori used as stores or warehouses, or for any pur-
