The Greenstone Greek Dredge had a washing up on Saturday. The result -.\a.s 3oz. The dredge is doing splendid work, and there seems no doubt that when the face is properly opened out in the course of a week or so, that good results will ho obtained. The machinery for the Hokitika River Gold Dredging Company's dredge, now lying at the railway station, is by far the heaviest that has yet arrived on the West Coast in connection with the dredging industry. It waa designed by Cutten Bros., of Dunedin, and constructed by , Fraser Bros., Auckland. Cartage to the company’s claim has already commenced. The work, owing to the great weights of some of the parts, is not an easy task.
