DANGEROUS THIEVES.
A NOTORIOUS GANG. (Received' Anri! 15, 1.0 a.m.) LONDON, April 15. The report is reiterated in London that Adamwith. alias Raymond, was the leader of the gang who stole Gainsborough’s famous picture of thq Duchess of Devonshire, recently discovered in America.
The members of the gang represented themselves ..as, safe makers. They soldi safes, and afterwards robbed them on the customers’ premises by means of duplicate keys.. In 1893 Adamwith was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment by a Belgian Court for robbery of a mail train.
