EVENING ENTERTAINMENTS
THEATRE ROYAL. Dix’s Gaiety Company attracted another large audience to tho Theatre Royal last night, when all the old favourites, including Air Frank Yorkc, Mr Arthur Hahn, Air Arnold Jarvis, the marvellous Ferry and the Williams quartette all met with excellent receptions. CHORAL HALL. 'Hie popularity of the Empire Vaudeville Company, occupying the. boards at the Choral ‘Hall just now, is as great as ever, as a crowded house testified last night, by repeated encores and much enthusiasm.
The closing performance of a successful season was given at the Opera House last night by Montgomery’s Bioscope and company of entertainers. Tho members of the Hairdresser'’ and Tobacconists’ Sports Association aro to hold a smoko concert to-morroiv owning at the Trocadero, in connection with the presentation of trophies won at the late sports. The concert to ho given in St. John’s .Schoolroom to-night promises to be an interesting one. Aladame Mueller, (lie well-known soprano, will sing “Gone Far Away. Lad,” a new song composed hy Janie.-, Badon-Powoll. AJiss Johnston, Messrs Marlin, Barrer and AXcGlashau are also to give assistance. Mr S. A. Palmer, representative for Webster’s Vitadatio, will lecture at the Federal Theatre, on Tuesday next.
