PETONE BOROUGH LOANS
RESULT OF. SATURDAY’S POLLING. The poll in connection with the loan proposals of tho Petono Borough Council took place on Saturday. The polling was not particularly heavy. The result was announced a little after eight o’clock, and -satisfaction exhibited hy the somewhat large number of people congregated in the principal street when it became known that four of tho six proposals had been carried by substantial majorities. Opinion was gencraT during the day that tho extensions to the lighting plant and to the drainage system would be endorsed at the poll, hut some doubt existed as to tlie others.
