A NEW RECORD. (Received April 14, 522 p.m.l SYDNEY, April 14. In the Mile Amateur Swimming Championship of New South Wales, O. Read beat Dick Cavill by three-quar-ters of a lap in 24miu 46 4-ssec, constituting a world’s record, Cavill took 25min 12 4-sscc, heating his previous Australian record of 26min 52 l-ssec.
