TORPEDO DESTROYERS IN TROUBLE. LONDON, April 12. All tho Devonport flotilla of eight torpedo destroyers lately sent for a three, weeks’ cruise, were crippled .by a heavy wave iu the Bristol Channel.
Tho destroyer Seal was struck by the* full force of the sea. and had her hack broken. It is feared tho damage is irreparable. Tne Bat and the Wolf have leaky condensers, and tho engine-power of the Locust was found to be msn'.r.cicut. [The regular daily tidal wave in (he Bristol Channel, especially with certain winds, and at the time of spring-tides, raises e. very. formidable ‘ bore.’']
