Symonds, to bo allowed to transfer section 7a, Mangaweka Village Settlement Extension, to Mr W. A. Officer, it was resolved to obtain a report from the ranger. ; Mr T Hart-applied for tho transfer of section 11, block 6, Aoiti, to Messrs A. D. Bauckham and R. A. Cheyne. It was decided to obtain a report from the ranger; . . ; Tbo consideration of applications from Mr J- Jobson to tiausfer sections 6 and 7, Wolford Village Settlement, to Mr T. Loomcy, and from Mr’W. It was decided to obtain a report from the road surveyor concerning an application from Mr P Brebner to transfer section 19, block 15, Makuri., to Mr Wm. Peterkin. , The transfer of section 9, block 16. from Mr S.' Knight to bis son: that qf section 27, block 2. Mount Cerberus?, from Messrs P. R. Kent and J. H. Berry to Mr F. Burling; and that of section 83, Maungaraniaraina Village Settlement, froiii ’W..Buchanan to C. H. Parker, werp approved subject to the usual conditions. ; Mr C. Parker’s application to transfer section 64, block 18, Mangahao, to Mr Wm. Wiles, was approved oh condition that Mr Wiles does not sublet any por. •tion ipf this section, or that adjoining it. - \ Mrs ,'H. Hunter applied to transfer section 36, block 18, Mangahao, to Mr John Gleeson, lessee of section- 45 adjoining. It was decided that until the tenure, is converted, 'Mr' Gleeson cannot select the section. A similar reply was made to an application for the transfer of section 39, block 18, Manga, fiao, to Mr John Gleeson. ; Tho following applications to convert tenure to lease in perpetuity were approved Section ;3,, ; Tiriraukawa Village Settlement, AriHalliucmd; section 24, Mangatainoka Village Settlement, E. Mann applied to be allowed to convert the tenure of section 29, block 5, Waipakura, to lease in per. petuity. This,.was;postponed for a report from the ranger. A; letter was received from the Sur-veyor-General - with referonoe to the proposal to provide provision to enable village settlers at Tntaekara to extend their holdings. It was decided to ask the Minister of Lands to consent to the land being thrown open for selection at an early date. An application from Mr C. O. Gibbs for a portion of section 10, block 3, Makotuku, for a building site was approved on the, usual conditions. It was agreed to allot section'3l, Ho-ropiti,‘to-Mr G.'Jordan, when the pre. liminary aiTangeinents have been completed, and .Mr R. McGill was allowed to take up section 29b on certain conditions proposed by himself. With reference to Mr H. O’Donnell’s application to select section 34, blook 8, Tiriraukawa, it was decided to ob. tain a further report from the ranger. Messrs MoCorrpick, Sullivan and Stevenson addressed'the Board in reference to the disposal of section 39b, Pern, berton. The consideration of the matter was deferred, as certain questions in dispute between two of the parties are to-be referred to 'arbitration. In regard- to, an application from Mr J. Chase with reference, ta sections 168 and 174, -block 8, Eaetihi township, it was agreed that the- sections should be re-valued and re.offered for sale. The Commissioner submitted a summary .of eleven .reports from the rangers which showed that eight selectors had complied with the conditions, and that three were in default. The reports were considered satisfactory. It was. Resolved to call upon the defaulters for the usual explanations. ~A largo quantity of routine-business : was transacted. . ,
