KARORI CLUB. The second annual meeting of the Karori Hockey Club was held in the Library, Karori, on Thursday last. Mr W. H. Tisdall (one of the vice-presi-dents of the club) occupied the chair, There were about thirty members present. The report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted on the motion of the chairman. The report was of a very satisfactory mature, and the bal-ance-sheet showed £1 9s Sd to the club’s credit, and no liabilities. The election of .officers resulted as'follows:—Presi, dent, Mr R, C. BuMey; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. H. Tisdall, 0. H. Williams, and Rev A. L. Hansell; captain, Mr H. S. Dibley; vice-captain, Mr ?. H. Putnam ;, hen, secretary, Mr G. Davies; bon! treasurer, Mr C... Cathie; management committee, Messrs Hill, Dryden, Mackenzie and Dascnt; match committee, Messrs Dibley, Putnam and Davies; 'delegates- to the Wellington Hockey Association, ’ Messrs 0. Cathie and Dascnt; hon auditor, Mr C. I. Dasent. The Challenge Cup, presented to the club by Mr C. H. Williams, for the best all round player in the “A” team, - was' handed to'Mr G. Davies by the chairman. A letter was received from Mr R. C. Bulkley offering a trophy or cheque to the value of £2 2s, and the meeting) passed a hearty vote of thanks to. the donor. On the motion of Mr Harvey, it was decided to hold a smoko , concert on the evening, of the opening day. The meeting concluded ■with a, vote, of thanks to the chairman, who took the trouble to come from town to preside, to Messrs Cathie and Davies, treasurer and secretary respectively. > ' ~ ■ The Karori Hockey Club will practise at Karori to-day.
