The unique collection of rare books, rare manuscripts, and curios which Sir Charles Gavan' Duffy, the veteran IrishAustralian, statesman and litterateur, has presented to the Royal Irish Academy, includes a large volume, entitled “Illustraiioris of Irish History!.’ All the Irish eras from Henry Grattan down to the present day are separately illustrated with portraits of the leading men, historical scenes, and current caricatures.
