CAMP NOTES. The officers, on. behalf ‘of'the men, desire to thank Mr Pinnock, of the Troca. doro, for his generous present of a hogs, head’ of beer and plum puddings sufficient for the whole camp. The number of men under- canvas last night was 590. There were forty names on the sick-list. Mr Seddon, accompanied by Colonel Polo Penton, Majors Owen and Madooks and Captain Browne spent some time in. specting the camp yesterday. Lieutenant Browne was acting-captain of the day yesterday, and Lieutenant Whiteley subaltern. Sergeant-Major Tuck, First Contingent, has been appointed sergeant-major lor moulded duties. Lieutenant Aitken-Connell is the act-ing-captain and Lieutenant Browne sub. a Horn 10-day. Yesterday Wellington and Auckland attended mounted parade at Miramar; to-day it is Otago and Canterbury’s turn for mounted drill. The Wellington Rowing Club will entertain Private J. Calnan at a smoke concert at tho clubhouse on Monday evening.
