TfanSr port will be provided for swags 'and camp equipment, and arrangements) will be made for the supply of rations [locally. The commanding officer desires officers commanding companies to ascertain and forward to me on or before Thursday , next the probable numqer of men of their respective corps who . will be present, so that satisfactory arrange-; raents for rations, camp equipage and transport may bo made. ; A meeting of officers commanding companies to brake preliminary arrangements and discuss ‘battalion matters will be held at i the "room on Monday evening next, 25th inst., at eight o’clock, i A large number of men have already intimated their intention of taking part in the proposed marching and field work.
There was- a -large-muster atthe weekly paradeof the Engineers, and thecorps was exercised in company drill by the non-commissioned officers. At a meeting of inembers it was decided to tender a send-off to Private Miller, a member of -the corps. who, is leaving ■withi the .Seventh Contingent, A, commit tee was set up to make the peoessary arrangements.
