ARAM 7 A SAILING. CLUB,

The following entries have been received for Saturday’s racing in the Arawa Sailing Club : Mr Baker’s Trophy.—Rena, Atalanta, Mawhiti,_ Syren, Viking (late Waiwetu), Muritai "(late Rogue).,

The “Waitangi Cup”—Kotuku, Mahutu, Mahaki, Mav, Teroa. Mr Bernasconi’s "Trophy—Maroro, Moana, Matea, Luna. In addition to the above races the half-raters will sail the second heat of the Champion Pennant. . STAR BOATING CLUB. The final heat of the Senior Pairs, Star Boating Club, was rowed last evening, over the southerly course, the crews being:—!. Fairchild (bow). A. Fell (stroke), and R. Gray (bow), D. Menzies (stroke). Fell’s crew was the quickest to get away, obtaining by this means a lead of about a length. This they maintained throughout, and although Menzies’ came with a fine spurt at the finish, he was unable to overhaul Fell, who won by one length and a half. Mr H. L., Wiggins (deputy captain) acted as starter, and Mr G. H. Bethune (captain of the club) as judge. The stroke of the winning crew holds for one year the handsome trophy presented to the club by the late Mr W. H. Levin, one of its qldest members. By the outgoing San Francisco mail the Star Boating Club forwarded to one of the leading manufacturers in England, an order for one of the best billiard tables. When received the table, which is to be completely equipped for billiards, pool and pyramids, is to be placed in the social room of the boathouse, and will bo the means of adding another attraction to the many advantages now enjoyed by the members of this, old-established club.
