THE OCEANIC LINE OF STEAMERS. SYDNEY. March 20. Prominent members of the Legislature and. citizens connected with shipping interests bade farewell to> Mr J. D. gprockels. of San Francisco, on tho departure of tho mail steamer Ventura yesterday afternoon. Tho Hon John See. the new Premier of Now South Wales, in proposing Mr Spreckols's health, expressed regret that the American shipping laws prevented complete reciprocity between the United States and Australia.
