TELEGRAM OF THE AGENTSGENERAL. LONDON, March 17. Tho Duke of Cornwall, in his reply to the joint message of. the Agents-General. stated that he ami tho Duchess were greatly touched by tho telegram, which was an indication of tho deep interest taken by the colonies in the Royal visit. THE AUCKLAND PROGRAMME. GREAT ENTHUSIASM IN THE NORTH. Tho Premier last night received the following telegram; —“Had a largo meeting this afternoon. Very successful termination. A strong committee was sot up, and the Government suggestions adopted. Sub-committees for finance, address, decorations, stages, platforms, procession, supervision of children, arches and maritime display were appointed. Citizens will find all the money. Arrangements have been made for invitations to various friendly societies, labour organisations, seamen’s unions, carters’ unions auc\ other bodies. The committee will also issue special invitations to the Primate, Bishop Lonihan and representatives of all the religious bodies in the city. Provision is to be made for seats for the Royal visitors, ■and a sufficient number for the Government and special guests. The committee meet again to-morrow to decide details and fix orders for transparencies, fireworks, etc. Tho Premier’s telegram just arrived in time to be read at_ the meeting. The citizens are enthusiastic and determined to make the reception a great success.”
